Sport England

Sport England (the English Sports Council) is accountable to Parliament through the DCMS, and serves the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Sport England provides advice, invests and promotes community sport to create an active nation. We want to get two million people more active in sport by 2012. It works hard to make England more active, by encouraging people to get involved with sport or physical activity, distributing funding and investing in a range of sporting projects, including the Active England fund.
