Postural defects

Most people are born with a slight postural defect, such as having one leg slightly longer than the other. If there is a large difference between the two legs, this can affect the person's running technique, which may then place more strain on one side of the body, which would make the person more likely to sustain injuries after long periods of exercising; especially if the person was to carry out a lot of long distance running.
