Skills in individual sports, may be similar to those in team sports, however the effectiveness of their execution is more likely to have a greater outcome in individual sports. Below is a diagram to highlight some of the key skills in individual sports. For example turns and rotations are particularly important in tennis to help a performer reach the ball in the quickest amount of time possible before it bounces twice or leaves the court. Although agility is important in team sports such as football, it is unlikely that a poor turn or rotation will be the single factor in their opposition gaining an advantage as it would in tennis.
