Structure of sport

There is a hierarchy of organisations involved in the structure of UK sports, with the larger, wealthier and most influential organisations being at the top and in control. The smaller, poorer and least influential organisations being at the bottom; adhering to the rules and guidelines as set by those at the top of the hierarchy.

Below is a simplified diagram of the organisations involved in providing structure to sports within the UK, many of which are classified as sports development organisations.
