Voluntary organisation

Many sports performers began their sport at a voluntary organisation. Many sports clubs are run by individuals who have previously taken part in or who enjoy the sport. They are not paid to coach and train the performers; they do this in their own time. For the clubs to be able to run participants pay a minimal fee to pay for the grounds, equipment and maintenance. The clubs work with each other to provide competitions for the performers. Voluntary organisations have close links with local governing bodies and LA's.
