Appropriate behaviour introduction

Elite athletes' are often in the public eye and are expected to act as role models to fans and youngsters and as ambassadors for their sport. It is therefore vital that professional sports people behave in an appropriate manner at all times, both in and away from the sporting arena. This module reflects on why it is important that athletes' behaviour is appropriate.

The behaviour of the athlete refers to everything they do on a daily basis, including their conduct, actions, mannerisms, body language, words spoken and sporting skills displayed.
